Exploration of Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizae (VAM) chili plants in various field types in Indonesia: a case study in Kolaka Regency, and their relationship with Fusarium oxysporum wilt disease

Abstract The symbiotic relationship between mycorrhizal fungi and plant roots provides benefits to the host plant. Fusarium wilt, caused by oxysporum, is most common disease on chili (Capsicum annuum), resulting in production losses of up 50%. Until now, efforts control wilt still rely chemical which has a negative impact environment.The purpose this study was examine existence number Mycorrhizal spore morphology surrounding plants three different types fields Kolaka Regency, as well their wilt. Plants were sampled from numerous farms Regency for study, samples will be identified at Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Makassar.The proportion infection, amount spores soil, incidence fusarium all measured. Mycorrhizae found infect increase separate plants. This demonstrates link mycorrhizae roots, presence soil kind spores, Glomus sp . Gigaspora .The interaction oxysporum plants, namely suppressing acceleration rate said occur but considered low. Different field significantly affect characteristics growth especially those that are attacked oxysporum. type with least Sani- Sani Village, Samaturu District, Regency.
